It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lloyd Ray Blandford of Owensboro, Kentucky, born in West Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on November 24, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Elmer and Mary Ursula Hayden Blandford; his wife Sidney Jo Rowland Blandford; his son Chris Blandford; his siblings, Kenneth, Gary Blandford and Alice Devine; and his great grandchild Skyleigh Howard.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Blandford (Althea), Ronald Joseph Blandford, Lori McDaniel (Rex), Joy Hinton (Jack) and Keith Blandford (Lisa); his grandchildren, Mary Beth Decker (Norman), Korrie Semro (James), AJ McDaniel, Valerie Ziegler (Matt), Jak McCormick, Brandi Howard (Marcus), Sydney Blandford, Jason Blandford (Zoe), Adam Blandford, Sam Blandford, Matthew Carothers and Melissa Carothers; his great grandchildren, Bethy Ray, Billy Decker, Ethan Semro (Becca Higdon), Elexis Semro (Carlos Castillo), Ada Parris, Chelsea, Lucas Ziegler, Dakota, Christopher, Aubree Howard, Lily Estes, Jayden, Zaylee and Axel Blandford; his great great grandchildren, Cynthia Castillo, Kayden Semro and Oliver Lloyd Semro; his siblings, Peggy Roberts, Shirley Merimee (Tom), Randall Blandford (Ginny), Nancy Lewis (John) and Barbara Magan; and also Tina Carothers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Expressions of Sympathy, in lieu of flowers, may take form of charitable donations to Hospice of Western, Kentucky or Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
