He was loved and cherished by many people including: his former wife Sharon Gayle Jewell; his wife Sharon Payne; his daughter Linda Winfield (Wayne) of Owensboro; and his brother James "Boots" Payne of Tallahassee, Florida. He was also cherished by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
