He was predeceased by: his parents, L. Otis Gholson and Mittie Wilson Gholson; and his brother Clayton Gholson. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Baird Gholson; his children, Charles Gholson (Jo), Linda Ward (Victor), Brenda Brown (Larry) and Tracy Bunch (Jimmy); his grandchildren, Sarah Whittaker (Roger), Ashley Johnston (Josh), Cory Ward (Valerie), John Ward (Kalyn), Jenny Brown-Todd (Phil), Benjamin Brown (Don McLaughlin), Zach Gholson (Brittany), Jodie Gordon (Thomas), Jessie Bramschreiber (Ben), Bradley Gholson (Jordan) and JoCarol Bunch; and his siblings, Wayne Gholson (Faye) and Jean Gholson. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
