She was predeceased by: her parents, James Mora Brown and Donnie Lee Poole Brown; her children, Joyce Ellen Edge and John Thomas Edge; and her siblings, Gwendolyn Wheatley, Bernice Brown, Magdalene Payne, Ermal Jennings, Hattie Brown, William Lee Brown, Jerry Brown and James Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Simon (Jerry), Linda Hocker (David), Jeanette Weedman (Larry) and Tammy Schroader (Gary); her grandchildren, Scott Simon (Shelley), Audra Foster (Michael), Jarod Simon, Aron Hocker (Brandyn), Runae Faulkner (Darren), Perry Weedman (Traci), Lynette Brown (Chris), Sherry Rudolph (Matt), Shane Edge (Ana), Tara Thompson and Casandra Schroader; and her siblings, Vincent Brown, Letha Miller and Rita Herzog. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
