He was predeceased by: his grandmother Lola Lawson. He is survived by: his parents, Frank Maffia and Judy Nolan Moskos; his wife Shelly Brown Maffia; his children, Tyler, Ethan, Drew, Autumn, Reece, Carter Maffia, Kyra, Adalyn and Ellie Gentry; his grandchildren, Dexter, Kooper Maffia, Dawson Gehlhausen and Kaycen (Kyrie Bonmon); and his siblings, James, Steven, Billy Maffia and Emily Riley.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A Mass will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St Pius X Catholic Church (3418 KY-144, Owensboro, KY 42303). A burial will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at the Resurrection Cemetery (5404 Leitchfield Rd, Owensboro, KY 42301).
Even in his passing, Josh continued his legacy of kindness and generosity by giving the gift of life through organ donation.
