He was predeceased by: his siblings, Petty Officer H. C. Johnson, Julia Morris, Edith Lynn, Mary Ruth Leek, Josie Qualls and Robert Johnson; and his son-in-law Warren Sutherland.
He is survived by: his child Pat Johnson of Owensboro; and his grandchildren, John Dunn of Owensboro, Kay Johnson of Prestonburg, KY, Dave Roberts (Rachael) of Owensboro, Haley Cadima (Keith) of Louisville, Valerie Brown (Jeremy), Jimmy Mattingly (Taylor), Ashley Drury (Jimmy) and Joel Mattingly (Aja). He is also survived by children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
