He was predeceased by: his parents, James Paul Calhoun and Irene Clements Calhoun; his former wife Shirley Jeanne Rumage Calhoun; his son Stephen Lynn Calhoun; and his siblings, Everett Calhoun, Eula Calhoun, Lillian Calhoun, Muriel Mattingly, Mary Clayton Alvey, Bessie Alexander, Bernard Calhoun, Arthur Calhoun, Estelle Murphy and Robert Calhoun.
He is survived by: his wife Mae Powers; his daughter Diane Calhoun-French; and his stepchildren, Randy Powers (Rosanna), Becky Powers Sengenberger (Rick) and Angie Powers Howard (Steve). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several generations of nephews and nieces.
