He is survived by: his wife JoAnne Phillips Alvey; his children, DeeDee Weddington (Gary) of Henderson and Kelly Alvey (Heather) of Owensboro; his stepchildren, Joseph Phillips (Sherry) of Owensboro, Stephanie Canary (Curtis) of Utica and Cindy Goltry of Sevierville; his grandchildren, Lindsey Jenkins (Greg), Ryan Goltry (Elizabeth), H. J. Alexander Goltry, Marc Goltry, Wes Goltry, Spencer Phillips, CeCe Phillips, Jessie Canary and Samantha Canary; his great grandchildren, Jet and Tucker Goltry; and his siblings, Bertha Shelton of Owensboro, Michael Alvey of Owensboro, Tom Alvey (Carolyn) of Owensboro and Frank Alvey (Sheney) of Louisville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
