He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph William and Jessie Marie Moskus Ray; and his wife Barbara Taylor Ray. He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Halstead of Reno, Michael Ray (Kattie) of Owensboro and Alisa Harper (Frankie) of Owensboro; his grandchildren, Jennifer Halstead, Taylor Harper, Krystal Ray, Kaitlyn Geddes, Hannah Cecil and Lydia Harper; and his great grandchildren, Emma and Ava Geddes.
