With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Wayne Shepler of Owensboro, Kentucky, born in Hartford, Kentucky, who passed away on December 1, 2020 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Eugene and Ina Mae Shepler. He is survived by: his wife Mary Shepler; his children, Julie Layne (Steve) and John C. Shepler; his grandchildren, Jordan Shepler (Lauren Harney), Katlyn Huff (Bobby), Kirsten Swisher (Katie Payne), Parker Layne and Payden Layne; his great grandchildren, Brayleigh Alley, Cameron Alley, Gracie Plahn, Emersyn Alley and Abigail Huff; and his siblings, Barb Johnson (Burl) of Horse Branch, KY, Joe Shepler (Carolyn) of Waycross, GA and Roger Shepler (JoAnn) of Beaver Dam, KY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to current COVID-19 health and safety mandates, funeral services will be private at Glenn Funeral Home & Crematory.
