We bid farewell to John Anthony Schmitt of Owensboro, Kentucky, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 21, 2024 at the age of 83. John Anthony touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Schmitt and Laurina Kluemper Schmitt; his wife Margaret Diann Schmitt; and his grandson Seth Shelton. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Shelton (Steve), Mark Schmitt (Andrea) and Mike Schmitt (Kim); and his grandchildren, Sara Novak (Clint), Kyle Shelton (Lauren), Chelsea Pruitt (Josh), Noah Schmitt, Lindzey Trogdon (Tyson), John "Andrew" Schmitt and Emma Schmitt. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Parish (2516 Christie Pl, Owensboro, KY 42301).
