With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joanne Sandefur Hale (Owensboro, Kentucky), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 6, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Whitaker Sandefur and Darrell Sandefur; her spouse McAtee "Junior" Hale; and her siblings, Douglas Sandefur and Mary Lou Settle.
She is survived by: her children, Darrell Hale (Merry), Ricky Hale (Julie), Cathy Stroup, Alesha Saalwaechter (Joe), David Hale (Martina) of Tennessee and Billy Morton (Mimi) of Evansville; her grandchildren, Kristopher Hale (Morgan), Emilee Sosh, Cessilee Blair (Tim), Tanner Stroup (Sarah), Jessica Newton, Mamie Hale, Maegan Hale and Josi Saalwaechter; her great grandchildren, Ireland Sandefur, Lilly Newton, Piper Newton, Taylor Sosh, Annalee Sosh, Hadley Hale, Cece Blair and Ty Blair; her stepgrandchildren, Abbey and Stephen Saalwaechter; her sister Peggy Brewer; her sister-in-law Dorothy Tice; and her niece Paula Wahler. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
