We bid farewell to Joan Elizabeth Mehlbauer Wimsatt of Owensboro, Kentucky, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 15, 2024 at the age of 88. Joan Elizabeth Mehlbauer touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Mehlbauer and Mary Louise Bell Mehlbauer; her husband Milton Shively Wimsatt; her son Bryan Wimsatt; her grandson Christopher Wimsatt; and her siblings, Patty Beard, Bernard "Junie" Mehlbauer, Richard Mehlbauer and Bobby Mehlbauer.
She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Flaherty (Brian), Michael Wimsatt (Cathy), Joey Wimsatt (Felicia), David Wimsatt (Tammy), Julie Mattingly and Joni Flaherty; her grandchildren, Ashley Marsh (Kenny), Crystal Howard (Ryan), Sarah Tuma (Clayton), Jack Wimsatt (Myranda), Luke Cecil (Jennifer), Jordan Boswell (Jake), Lauren Keller (Michael), Megan Penrod (Patrick), Nolan Wimsatt (Katelyn), Madison Schieber (Patrick), Morgan Bowen (Drew), Madeline Phelps (Easton), Aaron Wimsatt (Lydia), Hunter Flaherty (Marianna) and Ben Flaherty; her siblings, Shirley Yeiser, Sandra Slaton, Mary Michael Ebelhar and David Mehlbauer; and her sister-in-law Fay Mehlbauer. She is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren.
