We bid farewell to Jo Ann Richards Vessels of Owensboro, Kentucky, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 13, 2025 at the age of 90. Jo Ann Richards touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester Richards and Sarah Richards (Hagan); her son Michael Vessels; and her siblings, Eddie Lee Richards, Bob Richards and Mary Frances Yurt.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Vessels; her children, Tim Vessels (Valeria), Sylvia Luttrell (Scott), Debbie Zuerner (Bob), Steve Vessels, Tricia West (Mike) and Tom Vessels (Cathy); and her brother George Richards. She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. A prayer was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory (900 Old Hartford Rd, Owensboro, KY 42303). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (4029 Frederica St, Owensboro, KY 42301).
