He is survived by: his wife Sharon Benningfield; his children, Jeremy Benningfield, Bryan "B. J." and Tracy Bowlds (Joe) of Owensboro; his grandchildren, Christian Ruby, Hanna Benningfield, Austin Collins and Zara Benningfield; and his brother Jim Benningfield (Debbie) of Owensboro.
