He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert C. Meyer and Virginia Drury Meyer; his former wife Janette Meyer; and his sister Linda Meyer. He is survived by: his wife Betty Meyer; his children, David C. Meyer and Linda Michelle Vanover; his stepson Brian Williams; his granddaughters, Amanda Bickett, Laura Onstott and Emily Horn; his brother Thomas Meyer (Brooks); his nephews, Joel, Jeff and Jamie Meyer; his great-nephews, Zack Meyer, Blake Meyer, Auden Meyer and Jasper Meyer; and his great-niece Genevieve Meyer. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
