She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac Sanford and Agnes Duncan Ashby; her son David Michael Chavez; and her siblings, Katherine Drake and David Ashby.
She is survived by: her son Mark Steven Chavez (Barbara) of Owensboro; her grandchildren, David Stuart Chavez (Erica Ferguson) of Brownsville and Jennifer Elaine Cooper (Tim) of St. Augustine, Florida; her great grandchildren, Zachary Chavez and Owen Mark Cooper; and her sister Nancy Adkins (William B., Jr.) of Appleton, Wisconsin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
