He was predeceased by: his mother Virginia Lancaster. He is survived by: his children, Patricia Small of Owensboro, Mike Whelan (Barbara) of Knottsville, Susan Whelan of Owensboro and Ed Whelan (Sherry) of Sorgho; and his sister Mary Kay Hines (Ray) of Frankfort. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 4 great great granchildren.
