It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Poteat (Owensboro, Kentucky), born in Lafayette, Alabama, who passed away on July 8, 2018, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Josephine Poteat; his daughter-in-law Judy Poteat; and also Bobby Bartlett. He is survived by: his children, Lynn Fogle (Phil), Jim Poteat (Annamaria), Steve Poteat (Vickie) and Keith Poteat (Alisha); his nephew Jerry Dockery (Susan); his grandchildren, Brad Fogle (Kim), David Fogle, Carrie Haycraft (Ray), Seth Poteat (Karen), Michael Puckett (Angela), Logan Poteat, Colby Huff (Christine), Truman Poteat, Jared Dockery and Autumn Head (Terrance); his great grandchildren, Cole Fogle, Jack Fogle, Charlie Fogle, Ashlee Bartlett, Hailee Bartlett, Mason Bartlett, Jude Poteat, Leighton Poteat, Ayden Puckett, Addy Puckett, Maitlin Puckett, Christopher Matulevich-Roome, Jonathan Huff, Theodore Huff, Abbigail Dockery and Kyler Head; and his great great grandchild Tinslee Clements. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
