He was predeceased by: his father Ben Mattingly, Sr.; and his brothers, Ben Mattingly, Jr. and George Mattingly. He is survived by: his wife Laura Howard Mattingly; his children, Paul Mattingly of Owensboro, Kyle Mattingly of Madison, WI and Neil Mattingly (Audrey Hehman) of Louisville; and his siblings, Mary Sullivan of Lutz, FL, Joe Mattingly of Somerset, Jane Faris of Lebanon, NH and Gabrielle Gray Schneider of Benzonia, MI..
