He is survived by: his wife Barbara Collins Murphy; his children, Paula Roberts (Dean) of Owensboro, Diane Priar (Allen) of Owensboro, Stephanie Dolence (Larry) of Lander, Wyoming, Phillip Murphy (Melinda) of Owensboro and Randy Murphy (April) of Whitesville; his grandchildren, Brad Docimo (Amber), David Docimo (Kim), Jahna Fulkerson (Drew), Chris Murphy (Laura), Chad Priar (Whitney), Bethanie Roberts, Ashley Gleason (John), Jacob Roberts (Shelby) and Melissa Murphy; his sisters, Mary Bea Blanford (D. B.) and Rose Bartley; and his brother-in-law Joseph "Bucky" Coomes.
