He was predeceased by: his parents, Dick Stowers and Jessie Mae Stowers; and his siblings, Richard Stowers, Joan Saalwachter, Mary Cundiff and Tom Stowers.
He is survived by: his children, Jim Stowers Jr., Stephanie Kinney and Shelley Stowers; his sister Bettie Gilles; and his sisters-in-law, Lydia Stowers and Margaret Stowers. He is also survived by six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
