We are sad to announce that on February 26, 2020, at the age of 84, James Bertrand Payne Jr. (Owensboro, Kentucky) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James B., Sr. and Nerzella Nelson Payne; and his grandson Nathan Payne. He is survived by: his wife Octiva Payne; and his children, Katrina Lanham (Denny) of Owensboro, David A. Payne (Dorothy) of Owensboro, Matthew K. Payne (Shelia) of Jacksonville and Stewart G. Payne (Kathy) of Livermore. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren.
