He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Harold Grady and Pauline Wilson Grady; his former wife Dorothy Martin Grady; his siblings, Jane Grady, Robert Franklin Grady and John Grady; and his son Dewayne Grady.

He is survived by: his wife Brenda Redfern; his children, Karen Reynolds (Tim) and Ronald Grady (Kim); his grandchildren, Matthew Reynolds, Krystal Hill (Matt), Autumn Durbin (Tristan) and Summer Grady; and his siblings, Betty Wilson and Charles Pat Grady (Maria). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
