He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilford Simmons and Sarah Corine Simmons; his wife Mona Jean Simmons; his former wife Johnnie Simmons; his daughters, Charlene Mize and Martha Stepp; his son-in-law Bill Webb; and his siblings, Margaret Russell, Miles Simmons, Dennis Simmons, Carrie Midkiff, Thelma Mattingly and Peggy Wilhite.
He is survived by: his children, Darlene Webb, Judy Eubanks (Ernie), Gary Simmons (Karen) and Scott Simmons; his grandchildren, Jeannie Jewell, Shannon Leonard, Jennifer Scott, Amber Preston, Chrissy Simmons, Stephanie Dunn, Gregory Simmons, Dusti Gonzalez, Jake Simmons, Jeremy Johnston, Jason Mize and Carol McIntosh; his sister Mary Rose Carlisle (Wayne); his son-in-law Gary Mize; and his brothers-in-law, Fred Wilhite and Billy Midkiff. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
