We are sad to announce that on January 5, 2021, at the age of 84, Gertie Atherton Knott of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ollie Atherton and Adena Bell Atherton; her husband Dennis "Allie" Knott; her grandson Stetson Mills; and her siblings, Anna Belle Dunn, Clarence Atherton, Horace "Toad" Atherton, Hilton Atherton and Guy "Wimpy" Atherton.

She is survived by: her children, Michael Knott (Lisa) of Owensboro, Jane Leer (Bob) of Paris, KY and Joy Mills (Tom) of Owensboro; her grandchildren, Kolby Knott (Rachel) of Owensboro, Kristin Thompson (Brandon) of Owensboro, Allison Miller (Nick) of Florence, Alex Leer of Asheville, NC and Madison Mills (Mason Mills) of Clarksville, IN; her great grandchildren, Everly Knott of Owensboro, Lillian Knott of Owensboro, Atley Thompson of Owensboro, Kynlee Miller of Florence, Larkin Miller of Florence and Sutton Miller of Florence; and her brother J. M. Atherton (Doris) of Calhoun.
