George Sylvester Smith Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Sylvester Smith of Owensboro, Kentucky, who passed away on December 21, 2020, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Kermit Brown and Geneva Morton Smith; and his sister Brenda White. He is survived by: his son Abel Douglas; his godchildren, Brooklyn Swanagan and Tate Swanagan; and his siblings, Mary Jackie Smith, Nancy Gore (Keith), Jonell Modock (Michael), Brenda Riley, Linda Douglas, Sheila Annie Smith, Karen Johnson (Tony) and Katie Riley. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and special friends.

All who wish to honor Sly at the Celebration of Life are required to wear a mask while inside the funeral home for the safety of all those in attendance.
