He was predeceased by: his father Vernon Taucher; his stepfather James Hunt; and his sister Tammy Smith. He is survived by: his mother Betty Taucher Hunt; his wife Teresa Mehlbauer Taucher; his children, Adam Taucher (Lindsey) and Leah Taucher; his grandchildren, Caden Coomes, Peyton, Preston, Paxton Taucher, Londyn and Jordyn Carter; and his brother Mike Taucher (Ella).
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or to the Owensboro Humane Society.
