He was predeceased by: his father James Frederick; his daughter Cheri Tranjan; his siblings, Odelia Maglinger, Hazel Miller, Homer Maglinger, J. W. Maglinger, Woodrow Maglinger, Calvin Maglinger, Hoover Maglinger, Bill Maglinger, Lucille and Dorothy Maglinger; and his son-in-law Michael Joseph Leone.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Blanchard Maglinger; his children, Terri Leone Ware (Terry) of Lexington and Wes Maglinger (Michelle Ballard) of Evansville; his son-in-law Farid Tranjan of Concord; his grandchildren, Mike Tranjan of Charlotte, Michael Leone of Charlotte and Annie Maggie Leone of Charlotte; and his brother Fred Maglinger. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
