He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Franklin Mitchell Sr. and Barbara Hurd Foster; and his sister Patricia Cary. He is survived by: his children, Amanda "Amy" Head (Charles), Adam Mitchell, Mike Mitchell and Patrick Mitchell; his grandchildren, Jordyn Head, Michaela Mitchell, Jace Mitchell, A. J. Mitchell and Jagger Mitchell; and his siblings, Anita Priest (Greg), Karen Hudnall (Roger), Diane Hudnall and Steve Baird (Belinda).
