He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence McCarty and Georgia Marie McCarty. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen McCarty; his daughter Tammy Shearer (Paul); his stepchildren, Connie White, Judy Barton and Johnny Damron; and his siblings, Lorraine Hayden, Elaine Glenn, Patsy Wright, Mary M. Dowdy, Larry McCarty, Randy McCarty and Kenny McCarty. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
