It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Florence Marie Jackson Tapp (Owensboro, Kentucky), who passed away on January 19, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James A. Jackson Sr. and Fannie Barker Jackson; her husband James R. Tapp; her daughters, Florence Helena Deal Davenport and Vicki Lorraine Deal; her sisters, Anita L. Owsley and Marietta Margaret Jackson; her stepson Rashad Majeed; her grandchildren, Morris Eugene Orlando Stewart and Sara Marie Deal Jones; and her sons-in-law, Jerry Davenport and Marshall Stewart.
She is survived by: her children, Janet Deal Stewart, Eugene Deal, Jr. (Loretta) and Cynthia Deal (Rick); her stepchildren, Rodney V. Tapp of California, Tonia Rashid of Lexington and Lynn Tapp (Sherry) of Owensboro; her siblings, Ina Jackson Carter and James A. Jackson (Marilyn) of Houston; and her brother-in-law Linford Tapp of Ohio. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
