It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Newton Carter (Owensboro, Kentucky), born in Livermore, Kentucky, who passed away on July 15, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Crawford Newton and Mary Acker Newton; her brother Francis C. Newton; and her husband Dr. O. H. Carter. She is survived by: her stepchildren, Gregory Carter (Collette), Marilynn Lashbrook and LaDonna Watson; her stepgrandchildren, Mason Carter, Jack Carter, Jason Watson (Dawn), Scott Wells (Carmen), Shelley Reynolds (Alan) and Stacey Weiss (David); her stepgreat-grandchildren, Caleb Watson, Jacob Watson, Samuel Wells, Savannah Wells, Kaitlyn Scott, Hadley Scott, Shane Reynolds and Caleb Reynolds; her niece Sharon Wathen (Dan); her great-nephew Will Wathen (Mary Katherine); and her great-niece Bonnie Wathen.
