He was predeceased by: his daughters, Florence Helena Deal Davenport and Vicki Lorraine Deal; his siblings, Nathaniel Deal, Jr., Ben Deal, Sherman Warner Deal, Mary Alice Glover, Motee Liggins and Modestine Howard; his grandson Morris Eugene Orlando Stewart; his sons-in-law, Jerry Davenport and Marshall Stewart; and his friend Edsel Thruston.
He is survived by: his children, Janet Deal Stewart, Eugene C. Deal, Jr. and Cynthia Deal Merriwether (Rick); his sister Shirley Clark of Evansville, IN; his sister-in-law Naomi Deal; and his close friend Eleanor Veronica Stewart. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
