She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Southard and Winnie Kirtley Southard; and her husband Joseph Clifford "J. C.". She is survived by: her siblings, Herbert, Conward, Elbert, Delbert Southard, Tyne Chapman, Freeda Maddox, June Casey and Jean Rowe Evans; her daughters, Robin Nelson of Owensboro and Vickie Nelson of Owensboro; and her friend Donald Hayden of Indianapolis.
