He is survived by: his parent Alma Prior Fort; his wife Bessie Daffron Fort; his son David Fort (Jeanne) of Owensboro; his grandchildren, Elizabeth McFarland (Scott), Sara Fort of Owensboro, Andrea Fort (Seth Dewitt) of Louisville and Aaron Blake Marksberry (Liz) of Owensboro; his great grandchildren, Taylor McKenzie Smith, Jaxon David Smith, Ashton Marksberry, Ella Marksberry and Lawson Beasley; his brother Wilburn G. "Jack" Fort of Gainesville, FL; and his friend Pepper. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
