Drexel Lee Dorris Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Drexel Lee Dorris of Owensboro, Kentucky, who passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Drexel Lee farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Drexel Lee is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Abra Blakely Dorris and Willyne Anderson Dorris; and his sisters, Mary Johnson and Betty Gray. He is survived by: his wife Faye Hardison Dorris; and his sisters, Jo McCormick (Don) of Frankfort, KY, Diane Brown of Danville, KY and Aprile Hunt (Howard) of Danville, KY. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel (3009 Frederica St, Owensboro, KY 42301). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
