Douglas Wood Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 11, 2020, at the age of 79, Douglas Wood of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, JoLynne Wood and Narvel Wood (Sandra Bedwell) of Kirksey, Kentucky.; and his wife Sandra "Sandy" Bedwell. He is survived by: his daughters, Andrea Wood (Erik Jessen) of Chicago Illinois and Susan Cunningham (Neil) of Lexington, Virginia; his grandchildren, Daniel and Anna Cunningham of Lexington, Virginia; his sister Anne Conrad of Island; his sister-in-law Judy Wood of Owensboro; his friend Darrell McCaslin (Janie) of Calhoun; and also, Becky Hagan and Peggy Hodkins.

In lieu of flowers, Doug's family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Narvel Wood Scholarship Fund at the University of Kentucky, Office of Philanthropy, Sturgill Building, Lexington, KY 40506-0015.
