She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Fickey and Daisy Fickey; her husband Kenneth; her daughter Katherine; and her daughter-in-law Robin Newsome.

She is survived by: her sibling Those; her sons, Kenny Newsome, Jr. of Owensboro and Steve Newsome (Kim) of Owensboro; and her brother Don Fickey of Dayton, Ohio.
