He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur "Red" and Mildred Marksberry Gray; his nephew Matt Ross; and his pet Fonzie. He is survived by: his wife Dianna Nicely Gray; his children, Sarah Lee (Chris) of Owensboro, Emily Durham of Centertown, Paul David Gray, Jr. (Ashley) of Nicholasville and Chad Taylor of Whitesville; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica Lee, Brody, Cooper, Teagan Gray and Ryan Durham; his siblings, Kim Murley of Owensboro and Mike Gray (Mary Pat) of Owensboro; his uncles, Jack Marksberry (Joyce) of Utica and Harvey Marksberry of Owensboro; his parents-in-law, Frank Nicely (Mildred) of Whitesville and Marie Rock (Don) of Owensboro; and his brother-in-law Mark Nicely (Tina) of Whitesville.

Masonic Rites, with limited attendance due to Covid-19 regulations, will be performed by AG Hodges Lodge #297.
