He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Oscar Daugherty and Anna Gootee Daugherty; his siblings, Robert Daugherty, Lela Merritt, Mary Bayles and Betty Young; and his brothers-in-law, Norman Moore, Ben Chaney, Estel Merritt, George Bayles and Johnny Estes.
He is survived by: his children, John Richard Daugherty, Kaleb and Ethan; his grandchildren, Kaleb Daugherty, Ethan Daugherty and Austin Pauley; his former wife Linda Pauley; his stepchildren, Janice Pauley Moseley and Kevin Pauley; his stepgrandchildren, Marley, Kaitlyn and Jamie; his sisters, Ann Moore and Louise Chaney; and his brother-in-law Mike Nantz. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
