She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Simon and Gertrude Coomes; her husband Robert Newell Hood; her daughter-in-law Tracy Hood; and her sister Mary Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, James Hood (Marilyn Holder), Beverly Nance (Richard), Jo Nell Reed (Chuck), Darrell Hood and Nikki Adamson (Jason). She is also survived by fourteen Grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
