He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Cooper and Clara Cooper (Head); his wife Barbara Ford Cooper; and his siblings, Malcolm Cooper, Leon Cooper, Sherman Cooper, Nancy Hartneck, Thelma Burden and Opal May.
He is survived by: his children, Cathy Cooper, Cindi Hamonds (Scott) and Coleman Cooper, Jr. (Donna); his grandchildren, Jay Greenwell (Joy), Jonathon Greenwell (Natalie), Amanda Tilford (Parker), Stephen Locker (Felisha) and Katie Rafferty (Aaron); and his brother Franklin Cooper. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
