He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Walker Tong and Frances Payne Tong; the mother of his children Patricia Beth Tong; and his siblings, Michael Tong and Mary Jane Tong.
He is survived by: his close friend Robin Roberts; his sons, Chad, Chris, Jeremy (Christy) and David Tong; and his brothers, Danny (Regina), Steve (Sally), John (Kim Sowders) and Wayne Tong. He is also survived by five grandchildren and one great grandchildren.
