He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Clayton and Mary Calhoun Clayton; his wife Anna Sue Bilbro Clayton; his son Gerald Clayton; and his sister Janice Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Yvonne Reed (Steve), Bo Clayton, Lisa Leonard, Susan Abel (Rick), Debbie Clayton, Steve Clayton, Becky Gillette (Jeff) and Carol Greer; his stepchildren, Suzy Skaggs (Jerry), Mark Burns (Jan) and Debby House (Chris); his siblings, Jean Abell, Joann Payne, Joyce Willis, Jimmy Clayton (Gail), Johnny Clayton (Patsy Ann), Judy Grant and Joe Bill Clayton (Shirley); and his pets, Smokie and Annie. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
