With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Martel Wightman (Owensboro, Kentucky), born in Valdosta, Georgia, who passed away on February 20, 2018 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Anne Foust Wightman; and his brother William Strother Wightman Jr. He is survived by: his daughters, Edie Stewart (Jerry) of Owensboro and Georgia Coomes (Jimmy) of Owensboro; his grandchildren, Stacy Allen (Steve), Luke Castlen (Leigh Anne), Wayne Castlen (Laurie), Sally Springob (Michael), Kristen Hayden (Paul David) and Jordan Coomes (Chelsea); his great grandchildren, Duke, Jack, Clayton Allen, Lola Castlen, Vivi Castlen, Karter Castlen, Kooper Castlen, Parker, Abbi, Will and Jacob Hayden; his brother Hal Wightman II (Judy); and his sister-in-law Jane Foust Gilbert.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Cliff Hagan Boys and Girls Club, Wightman Unit.
