He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Rice Newton; his daughters, Glenda Simmons and Charlotte Stogner; and his siblings, Lucille, Margaret, Mildred, Betty, Dorothy, Linda, Susie, Bonnie, Evelyn, Lillian, Danny, James and Kenneth.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Newton, Jr. (Marsha) of Owensboro and Steve Newton (Robin) of Henderson; and his siblings, George Newton of Owensboro and Helen Herode of Hawesville. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
