It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles B. Gater (Owensboro, Kentucky), who passed away on January 18, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Eleanor Jane Gater, Norma Jean Rison and Gary Dean Gater; and his siblings-in-law, Shari Gater (Bradley) and Lyle Milner.
He is survived by: his daughter Kelly Lynn; his wife Karen Ree Gater (Garriott); his daughter Teresa Smith (Gary) of Cloverport; his granddaughters, Emily Smith of Louisville, Rebecca Smith of Louisville and Cara Pence (Seth) of Utica; his sister Carol Ann Milner of Danville, Illinois; his nephew Mike Jackson; his nieces, Lisa Johnson (Dave) of Williamsport and Traci Hill (Dave) of Vincennes; his uncle Buddy; and also, Emily, Rebecca and Cara.
