She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Howard and Virgina Howard; her sons, Christopher Dunkel and Phillip McDaniel; and her sister Sharon Hill.
She is survived by: her husband William Allen McDaniel; her son Matthew McDaniel (Rachel); her brother Doug Howard; and her grandchildren, Peter Herrmann (Sarah), Lisa Birge (Corey), Alexa Blackman (Zach), Sandy Jenkins (Matt), Phillip McDaniel (Rachel), Christopher McDaniel and Matthew McDaniel Jr.. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
