She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert A. Simmons and Marie Cecil Simmons. She is survived by: her husband John Stevenson; her children, Jennifer A. Stevenson of Stanley and John W. Stevenson II (Jay) of Brooklyn, NY; her granddaughters, Katelyn, Kylie and Kinzley Stevenson of Stanley; and her siblings, Robert Simmons (Kelley) of Owensboro, James Simmons (Kathy) of Utica, Kay Plaisted of Lexington and Yvonne Knutson (Jim Collins) of Chapel Hill, NC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
